Myosotis or Forget-Me-Not Felt Flower Pin The story goes something like this: A young knight in Germany is walking with his sweetheart along the river banks. He reaches out onto a rocky outcrop to pull some pretty blue and white flowers for his girl when he loses his footing. As he is swept downriver he throws his boquet to her and calls out "vergiss mein nicht!" or "forget-me-not'*. Using this pattern, you can get some forget-me-nots for your sweetheart with far less risk to life or limb. *Although it should be noted that the story seems to have originated after the flowers already had this name Materials: * Less than 1/4 yard each of two colors of felt (wool felt holds up the best) * Embroidery thread * A small sew-on pinback Download the pattern (PDF format) Click here for text-only printable instructions.
